Cabaret Vagabond and C.U.R.E present: A Night of Safe Haven and Art/KUNST.

ATTENTION, SURVIVORS OF THE WALKING PLAGUE

THERE IS HOPE. THERE IS A C.U.R.E.

If you can hear this, you are one of the fortunate few. You have made it ALIVE through the worst catastrophe within memory of history.

You have suffered. You have gone without. You have seen the corpses of those you loved rise and attack the living.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Please respond to this frequency. We will arrange safe passage for you and any uninfected with you to the nearest Enclave. If you are hearing this within the greater Chicago area, you will be assigned to the Mid-North Enclave, a proud member of the Coalition.

It has been a long, gruesome fight, brothers and sisters. Join us and be safe under the strong hand of the C.U.R.E. The walls are strong and there is plenty of ammunition. To celebrate a year since the establishment of the Enclave, the Mid-North will be celebrating with an evening of "art!"

The Cabaret Vagabond, loyal Coalition members all, will host the affair in the heart of the Enclave:

Studio BE,

3110 N Sheffield

Saturday, October 24

9:30 pm - 1 am

For the night, C.U.R.E. has lifted the restrictions on comedy and other non-necessary speech acts. Instruments brought to the event will NOT be seized and repurposed as kindling or weaponry.

The Coalition of Unified Regional Enclaves welcomes you.

Do not fear the dead, for
There is a C.U.R.E.

Binge-a solo piece by Dani Bryant

Watch out. It may get messy. Part cooking show. Part confessional. This thoughtful and funny piece will remind you: Why not to date on an empty stomach, that you do not always need to save room for dessert and after the first meal, jumping into bed for a swim will indeed give you cramps.

Cabaret vs Vagabond

Fans of the Cabaret Vagabond often find themselves asking: 'Cabaret Vagabond? Sure, it's a hip sexy name that I can't help but mention to my friends, but just what the H does it mean?'

That's a tough question. A question that just might take an entire show's worth of interstitial skits and songs to answer!

Join us at Martyrs' as we finally confront the basic conflict implicit in our agenda.

Cabaret? Fancy dance halls. Cigarette smoke and leggy blondes. Homosexuals wittily responding to a sophisticated crowd already bored with life and "over" heroin.

Vagabond? Lonely camp fires. Bindles and beans. Watching your last morsel of food vanish in the mouth of a stranger's baby as your shaking fingers pluck out a tune that was written too long ago to be called 'the blues.'

WHAT IS THE CONNECTION? WHY DID WE NAME OURSELVES AFTER THIS CONTRADICTION IN TERMS? JUSTIFY THYSELF, CAB VAG!

And we will.

Martyrs' is legit, people. Come out. We are excited and so should you be.
